I got a new toy in the mail yesterday. It's a
fisheye slash macro slash super wide angle lens adapter thingy. And it was just $30. I honestly had no idea such a thing existed until a few days ago, and never would have imagined it would be so cheap! It doesn't feel cheap, and for the price I'm pretty impressed with all it can do. There is a macro attachment, and then another attachment for the fisheye, so it is pretty flexible.
I spent yesterday evening playing around with it on my 18-55mm kit lens. I really have no idea what I'm doing [it took me a few tries just to figure out how to attach it all!] but I just got it for fun. It's cool to have more options for taking interesting photos. I don't think I've taken off my
50mm lens since I got it [because I love it that much] but I enjoyed experimenting with the new toy.
My usually willing subject got a big confused with the macro lens millimeters from his big wet nose. Not only did all of my attempted close-ups end up being giant blurs, my lens got a bath of the puppy-licking variety more than once.
Digg It!
