Eek! I may have just died and gone to heaven. I am in love with everything in this shop.

I've been looking through the tons of old family photos I have saved on my computer. This one especially made me smile.

Wasn't my mom cute in her ruffled swimsuit and ringlet curls?

I'm so glad my grandpa has so many wonderful pictures and has taken the time to scan them so he can share them with us. I uploaded some others here.

The gorgeous paintings in United Thread's shop make me want to pull out my watercolors and play. These owls are a print, but she also has many affordable originals. I love the pretty earth tones used in all of her pieces and the textural details are so impressive!

So I was just about to post some other pretty, inspirational images, when I came across this guy. It made me smile too much not to share. I really want to know the story behind this donkey on a boat. Anyone know?

Update: I found some info here.

I was browsing Flickr for some photo inspiration and I loved the quote that was posted with this pretty diptych by Ivette Inufio:

"People usually consider walking on water or in thin air a miracle. But I think the real miracle is not to walk either on water or in thin air, but to walk on earth. Every day we are engaged in a miracle which we don't even recognize: a blue sky, white clouds, green leaves, the black, curious eyes of a child, our own two eyes. All is a miracle."

Today I'd like to escape the reality outside my window and forget about the stormy weather forecast for yet another week.

I'll just pretend it's hot and sunny, perfect for a dip in the pool and a breezy bike ride in the park.

Perhaps if I throw this wishful thinking out into the universe, Mother Nature will change her plans and send a little sunshine to Tulsa this weekend?

Pretty please??

I spent my Wednesday afternoon with four sweet kids and a little ball of fluff named Moochie.

I didn't think it was possible, but somehow this little guy has even more energy than these kids.

They seemed so relieved to have human friends over to play. I guess Moochie has been keeping them pretty busy in the few days they've had him. Grant already looked exhausted at the thought of more puppy playtime.

Moochie wasn't very good at playing dress-up with the girls.

He really wanted to play soccer with the boys. But they kicked him out of the game, fearing that they might step on him or smoosh him with the ball.

So who was put in charge of entertaining the fur baby all afternoon?

Me.

It's a tough job, but someone had to do it.

Yep, I officially love this job.

Royal blue isn't a color I'd typically choose for my home decor, but for some reason I am loving it here, paired with gray paneled walls and chunky textured knit pieces.

Gorgeous and cozy, right?

That bench seat makes me want to curl up in the pillows and read a funny book while it storms outside the window.

We're going to see Hank Williams Jr. tonight in Tulsa. Basically, Randy's dream come true. I'm pretty excited too, even though we're sitting in the nosebleed section and I barely have a voice because I've been sick all week. But seeing the boyfriend get so excited about something makes me smile. His brother and best friend are driving down from Kansas this afternoon, which means I need to make the house not look like a pigsty in the next few hours. Luckily our number one mess-maker is having a little vacation at the vet today [he's getting neutered...poor kid!] so he won't be on my trail immediately canceling out all my cleanup efforts.

I hope you all have a fun and happy weekend!

This.

This is my dream bedroom right here.

I would kill for that vaulted ceiling and massive window.

And every single detail in this photo, really.
